The sale of plants outside Pottery Cottage in 2011 managed to raise £100 for the Welsh Air Ambulance. Alison ad Steve have received an acknowledgment from the charity and thank all those who bought plants. They hope to do the same in 2012. Well done the Wakemans...
'The Rhandirmwyn Singers' raised a total of £355 pounds on the Christmas Caroling. Thanks to all who contributed.
The formal objection about Forrestry Planning has been upheld and the Planning Permission refused. Thanks to all who signed and wrote to the Council. Encouragingly, the letter was signed by a total 87 people, and this does not include any individual letters or those from The Rhandirmwyn and District Community Association and Coleg Elidyr. A big thank you to everyone who helped in pulling this together! The job of searching out acceptable alternatives and preparing our campaign to get as much timber as possible extracted via the Forest Road to Sugarloaf has now started, and we will be discussing this further at the next meeting. In the meantime, if you have views on this or can help in any way, please let us know.
The Minister and Wardens of St. Barnabas Church were very pleased to receive a substantial donation from the Rhandirmwyn Show Committee recently. We appreciate this generous response to the knowledge that the village church is in need of community support.
