Kinder Than Kennels

We are based in Llandovery, West Wales (SA20 0UA) situated in the Towy Valley between Brecon and Carmarthen. We provide a home from home dog care and dog holiday service for those times when you are forced to leave your best friend behind. If you are like us, parting with your pet is difficult.

Maybe you are going on holiday and you just can't take your dog with you. Maybe you have to go away on business, or you have the chance of a weekend break or an exciting night out! Whatever the reason, finding somewhere nice to leave your dog while you are away is always difficult.

A commercial boarding kennel is the option that most people think of first, but for those of you who don't want to put your dog into such a restrictive, and usually impersonal environment, there's an alternative.

One to one dog care set in some of the most beautiful scenery in Wales

Close to the Brecon Beacons, situated just outside the small town of Llandovery in West Wales, we are on a minor road which simply heads into the wilds of the upper Towy Valley. It is only used by locals and tourists and the absence of through traffic helps to make the site very safe and secure. The property is adjacent to the Towy River in the Rhandirmwyn Valley, where impossibly green hills topped by ruined castles evoke legends of wizards and long-forgotten Kings and Queens.

We share our lives with our two miniature long-haired Dachshunds, two Labradors, a Jack Russell terrier and five assorted cats that have grown up with the dogs and co-habit happily.

Your pet is treated like one of our own

We have four and a half acres of grounds in which your dog can play freely and exercise. We play lots of games and our dogs have fun chasing a tennis ball, agility jumping or swimming and paddling in the river Towy, which borders approximately 400 yards of the property.

Lots of space to run around in a very safe environment without cages or concrete!
